We Have No Representation in Congress

Congress is suppose to investigate violations of our Constitution. They are given the responsibility to investigate any department or organization that gets funding from the Federal government.

Congress today has become so corrupt that they no longer investigate any violations of our Constitution, whether or not that violation is made by a Senator, Representative, President, judiciary, some federal department, or for profit or "nonprofit" organizations that have received money from the American people.

They are self supporting for selfish gain instead of doing their jobs of protecting the people of the United States. We the people need to band together and educate ourselves on how to remove everyone of them and get our country back to the original intent of the Founding Fathers when they wrote our Constitution.

"The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny." (Federalist Papers, No 47, p. 301 - James Madison)

"It is agreed on all sides that the powers properly belonging to one of the departments (executive, legislative, judiciary) ought not to be directly and completely administered by either of the other departments. It is equally evident that none of them ought to posses, directly or indirectly, an overruling influence over the others in the administration of their respective powers. It will not be denied that power is of an encroaching nature and that it ought to be effectually restrained from passing the limits assigned to it... The next and most difficult task is to provide some practical security for each, against the invasion of the others." James Madison

"It is important, likewise, that the habits of thinking in a free country should inspire caution in those entrusted with its administration to confine themselves within their respective constitutional spheres, avoiding in the exercise of the powers of one department to encroach upon another.

The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one and thus to create, whatever the form of government, a real despotism. A just estimate of that love of power and proneness to abuse it which predominates in the human heart is sufficient to satisfy us of the truth of this position.

The necessity of reciprocal checks in the exercise of political power, by dividing and distributing it into different depositories and constituting each the guardian of the public weal against invasions by the others, has been evinced by experiments ancient and modern, some of them in our country and under our own eyes. To preserve them must be as necessary as to institute them. If, in the opinion of the people, the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this, in one instance, may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed." Well, someone voted these people into their positions, therefore, they are representing someone. Unfortunately, the person in the house who represents "me" does not support my views. That's the problem when you stand out from the majority though.

So by these statements, even though each person has been elected by constituency, they should be removed anyway? Isn't that a bit un-democratic?

Those in Congress go about redefining their districts to include those who are getting favors from them and those they have "promised" favors to.

I actually have two representatives in my area that are conservatives and one that is extremely liberal. Guess what? The liberal will not answer my emails or phone calls just because we don't have the same views. Yet he sworn when he took office to represent all the people in his district not just the liberals.

And no I do not believe that all those elected was by constituency but by voter fraud and payoffs.

I am saying that Congress and the President are taking away more of our freedoms each day. And that neither are upholding our Constitution.

What that Federalist paper you refer to and what President Washington's final address warns about is exactly what happened under, guess who?, George W Bush Jr., Betty.

A public health care option is not a threat to your freedoms, Betty

Warrantless wiretapping is.

George did that. And its unconstitutional.

The Department of Homeland Security is.

George did that too.

And let's talk about Glenn Beck and Fox News. You do know that Glenn wants Osama Bin Laden to kill another 3-4000 of us, don't you? And you are ok with that? Or maybe you missed that episode.

You know, I'd have a lot more respect for you if you just came right out and said you have a problem with the President being a person of color.

After all, that's a recurring theme at those tea parties you think so highly of.

Have a great day.

Mike, Do you see me defending GW Bush? I am aware he was no better then any other president.

Presidents have been doing things unconstitutional since the early 20s maybe even before -- read your history.

I was also against him starting Homeland Security Dept. Do you see Obama eliminating that department, not a chance.

Yes, I do watch Glenn Beck on a fairly regular basis as well as O'Reilly and Lou Dobbs as they seem to be the more willing tell us what is going on in the Us and the world instead of just Michael Jackson coverage. I contend that you have taken Glenn Beck out of context.

As for having a problem with Obama being black is the standard reply from liberals when people disagree with them. I don't care if he is purple, green, or albino.

I have attend several Tea Party meetings and they have been very respectful to the President and each other. They also had democrats, republicans, libertarians, and independents in attendance.

I suggest you actually attend one yourself, talk respectful to people, stop accusing them of hating blacks and see for yourself that they are just everyday folks that what their freedoms back.

I could go on all day about government health care and how it will adversely effect especially the seniors of this great country but suspect you don't want to hear it.

Do you at least understand that Congress is passing bills daily that they have not even read and exploding our national debt that our grandkids and great grandkids will be paying for?
