Handmade Fun Saturday

What are you working on this weekend?  I have been busy designing and making purses, in-between making skirts and tops and backpacks for my two grand daughters, ages 6 & 9, who live with me.

This is the carousal horse the six year old picked out for a purse, that turned into a pillow, then she decided she wanted a backpack.  We should have this one finished by Monday for her to take to school.

I recently finished this quilted shoulder bag and had a ball designing it!  I will be putting up a tutorial for this when I get time.  It has lots of pockets inside for phone, keys, pens, notepads, etc.

Leave a comment and link to your weekend project!  I love seeing what everyone is making!

I love it! The quilting makes it so professional looking. Is that a button for the closure or umm what do they call it?? a Japanese knot? Anyway, it is very pretty. Once her friends see it you will be very busy, (making more of them)!

How sweet is this! She will remember this when she is all grown :)

Karen,

Yes it is a Japanese knot. I had never made one before and was pretty proud when I did this one and it actually looked nice!

Your projects turned out very nice! I just started working on some Valentine's Day animal magnets.
