Federal Governement Inexpensive Operation

Thomas Jefferson emphasized that if the oncoming generations (meaning us) perpetuated the Constitutional pattern (actually fought for our Constitutional rights), the federal government would be small and cohesive (lol) and would serve as an inexpensive operation (crying softly) because of the limited problems which would be assigned to it.

Jefferson wrote:

The true theory of our Constitution is surely the wisest and best, that the states are independent as to everything within themselves, and united as to everything respecting foreign nations. Let the general government (meaning federal) be reduced to foreign concerns only, and let our affairs be disentangled from those of all (this means ALL) other nations, except as to commerce, which the merchants will manage the better, the more they are left free to manage for themselves, and our general government (federal) may be reduced to a very simple organization, and a very inexpensive one; a few plain duties to be performed by a few servants.

Please read "The 5000 Year Leap", Principles of Freedom 101, by W. Cleon Skousen.

This book emphasizes that the Constitution is not out of date. It is no more out of date than the desire for peace, freedom, and prosperity is out of date.

It explains the principles our Founding Fathers used when they came up with our Constitution.

It is an outstanding book every American citizen should read and re-read and teach their children and grand children!

What our government is currently doing is very unconstitutional! We the people should stand up and voice our opinions and vote these people out of office. They are trying to change the constitution and America and make it into a socialized, communist country!

I think we the people DID finally stand up and vote. It's just taking some time to clean up the mess from the last 8 years. Be patient. You have to believe...

Anonymous,

Do you truly like what Pelosi and other Senators and Representatives are doing to this country?

I believe we need people who will obey our Constitution not try to change it.

Apparently, Anonymous does not know our Constitution nor has he/she read the 5000 Year Leap yet. I agree - more people need to read that book.

Unfortunately, the one's who REALLY need to read it (those on the left) will never pick it up as they don't want to know the truth. They want to change our constitution and ruin this country.

I think you are right, BoBo!

Thanks for support.

Betty, the U.S. Constitution has been "changed" 27 times including giving women the right to vote.

Glad for that change! Do you know what the other 26 changes were?
